Stephen Pearson returned to the Hero ISL with Atlético de Kolkata for the upcoming season after finishing as runner-up in the inaugural edition of the league with Kerala Blasters FC. The 33-year-old midfielder began his career with Motherwell before moving to Scottish heavyweights Celtic. He then moved to Derby County, Stoke City and Bristol City before taking part in Season 1 of the Hero ISL, where he enjoyed great success and scored a crucial match-winning goal against Chennaiyin FC in the semi-finals. Following his first spell in India, Pearson returned to Motherwell at the start of the 2015-16 campaign. With 10 caps of Scotland at the senior level, Pearson is set to have a massive role to play for ATK this year.
