Davide Succi began his career at Chievo but was soon sent on loan to clubs in the lower tiers of Italian football during his time at the club to gain valuable first-team experience. The year 2005 saw him make a permanent switch to Serie B outfit Ravenna, where he enjoyed plenty of success, scoring in abundance. His rich vein of form at Ravenna caught the eye of Palermo, who he joined in 2008 and netted six times in Serie A. After four years with Palermo, including loan spells at Bologna and Padova, he moved to Serie B outfit Cesena in 2012. He spent four seasons with Cesena and helped them to promotion in 2014. Chennaiyin will be hoping he continues his fine knack of finding the back of the net.
