After an impressive two-year stint with Shillong Lajong, Lyngdoh returned to Rangdajied United and before long made his I-League debut. Bengaluru FC recognized his potential and drafted him in 2014 and this Meghalaya player did not disappoint, doing well in the Durand Cup and Federation Cup. Lyngdoh created history by scoring Bengaluru’s first goal in the Asian Club competition (AFC Champions League Qualifiers). He was the 2014-15 I-League’s best mid-fielder.
Lyngdoh also made his debut for India in the FIFA World Cup pre-qualifier match against Nepal and consequently cemented his place in the national squad as coach Stephen Constantine’s first choice central midfielder. He scored twice and provided two assists for the Stallions in Hero ISL 2015 and will once again have a major role to play for his side in the upcoming season.
