The versatile winger began his career with HAL and excelled in his first season as a professional footballer. Ishfaq Ahmed then went on to represent some of the biggest professional clubs in Indian football: Dempo, Mohun Bagan, Salgaocar, East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting with varying degrees of success. The 32-year-old Kashmiri is a versatile player and possesses good dribbling skills and can fit into any position across the midfield.
At the club level he has been a serial winner of several honours and titles. Ahmed has been with Kerala Blasters FC since Hero ISL 2014 and has made 16 appearances for the Blasters heading into the new season.
