One of India’s emerging football stars, Holicharan Narzary has come a long way in Indian football. Spotted by the national team scouts at an early age of 16, the free-scoring winger, who can play with equal felicity on both flanks, went on to represent India at the under-19 and under-22 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. He also made his senior national team debut against Nepal on March 12, 2015 during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
He had impressive outings with Pailan Arrows, often getting on the scoresheet. Narzary uses his raw pace to get past opposition players and he can cause havoc in the rival box with his pinpoint crosses.
The youngster played three times for FC Goa in Hero ISL 2014 and was drafted into Northeast United FC for the 2015 edition. This will be his second season for the Highlanders.
